Technical Principle Positioning

Pipe lining repair is achieved by heating and curing thermoplastic materials, which is applied in municipal pipeline repair with a repair diameter range of DN100 to DN800.

How It Works

Thermoplastic Curing Principle

Material heating softening stage

Thermoplastic resin materials are heated to 120-130°C using dedicated heating equipment, such as the FIPP devices used in a municipal project in Shanghai, which can bring the material to a viscous flow state within 5 minutes.

Lined Tube Expansion and Adhesion Stage 

The softened liner pipe is expanded using compressed air to fit tightly against the inner wall of the old pipe. In the Beijing Drainage Group project, the pressure during this process is controlled between 0.3 and 0.5 MPa.

Cooling, shaping, and curing stage

Using natural cooling or cold water circulation systems to cure the liner pipe, a pipeline repair project in a certain community in Shenzhen completed the curing within 2 hours, forming a high strength composite pipe.

Control of Thermoplastic Molding for Lining Materials
